Wellness, Teamwork, and Friendly Competition: The Biggest Loser Contest 2025

A challenge that brings our teams together—one healthy step at a time. At Jefferson Healthcare, we love teaming up with our sister facilities, Carington Park, Pine Grove, and Saybrook Landing, for a little friendly competition—and this year’s Biggest Loser Contest was no exception! From January 20 through March 31, our staff members took on this annual challenge with energy, determination, and plenty of team spirit.



The Biggest Loser is more than just a weight loss competition. It’s a chance for our teams to build stronger bonds, encourage one another, and focus on wellness in a supportive and fun way. Weekly challenges like yoga, water tracking, and portion control kept everyone motivated, and the excitement grew as we watched each other reach new goals and form new healthy habits.

This year, we’re incredibly proud to announce the winners: Amanda from Jefferson Healthcare took first place and won $1,200. Johnnathon from Saybrook Landing earned second place with $800, and Tracy, also from Saybrook Landing, came in third, winning $400. While the prizes were a great incentive, the real reward was the camaraderie, motivation, and sense of accomplishment shared across all four buildings.
