Happy National Activities Professional Week!

In honor of National Activities Professional Week, we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Laura Holmes, Anastasia Culver, and Tracy Wilber for their creativity, kindness, and devotion to our residents! Activities are the heartbeat of our facility, keeping residents active, happy, and involved. We love witnessing our residents thrive thanks to our incredible Activities Team at Jefferson Healthcare Center!

Starting with our Activity Director, Laura is from the Keystone State, otherwise known as Pennsylvania. Laura's artistic journey began early, attending art classes at the Carnegie Museum and Carnegie Mellon University in her formative years. A graduate of Bethel Park High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Laura's career took her through the realms of visual communications before finding her calling in the Jefferson Healthcare Activity Department.



Laura's diverse interests include arts and crafts, photography, reading (with a penchant for Lee Child and Sherlock Holmes), science fiction, and trivia, making her the revered "Trivia Queen" among residents. A connoisseur of movies, classic rock, and British television, Laura is an avid Cleveland Guardians fan and a lifelong Steelers enthusiast. Her love for travel takes her to various destinations, with favorites including Florida, Disneyland, and Mackinac Island.

Anastasia, a member of the Activity Team for four years, finds joy in connecting with residents on a personal level through her work in activities. Tracy, with a year and a half at Jefferson Healthcare, chose this profession to brighten residents' days, emphasizing the importance of making them feel loved and special. Tracy's approach involves bringing laughter, joy, and, positive vibes!

In their shared sentiment, the entire team expresses, "We feel that we are in a very special profession. Hopefully, we can continue making a difference in the lives of our residents." Together, Laura, Anastasia, and Tracy embody the spirit of excellence, compassion, and genuine care in the special world of activities at Jefferson Healthcare.
